Have you wondered how air cargo works in global shipping?

Today we present an intro to how your cargo is carried by air. Depending on the type of cargo, these are put into dedicated cargo planes for transport. There are 3 ways to transport cargo by air.
Passenger flight - Small amounts of cargo are transported this way. They are loaded into a compartment under the passenger compartment.
Cargo planes - These are dedicated planes for transporting cargo. Large shipping companies usually own a few of them.
Supercargo planes - These are giant cargo planes that are used to transport massive stuff, like a passenger airplane, inside it.

The largest known super cargo plane is the Antonov AN-225 Mriya with a capacity of 250 tonnes. It was created in 1985 in Ukraine and was operational until it was destroyed by Russians in late February 2022.
