Road Trip Snack Box

Our favorite thing to do for snacks on a road trip is filling up these tackle boxes with different varieties of foods that won’t get nasty in the car and my kids absolutely love it!

This is the exact box we have and use!

I'm a teacher and I buy these craft boxes from Dollar Tree every year to create "Teacher Survival Kits" for my coworkers. I never thought of using it for kids, brilliant idea!!

You can buy these boxes almost everywhere, in the craft section. It'll be called craft organizer or something similar. :)

I make one for my husbands favorite treats for during his work at home days, I fill them with nuts, jerky, his favorite candy and some chips/crunchy whatever I have. The container I use is a little bigger than quarter of the size of the big box in the video, perfect for portion control. My husband says he feels loved when I make him the snack box. 😁

😂 I think I need to do this for my two teenagers. Some hot Takis, sour candy, trail mix, grapes, cookies, 2 pin wheels, cheese pieces and some cut beef jerky. Yep 👍 that will do it.

I am totally going this! We are driving from MO to FL with our 2 grandkids in Oct. I am going to make one for each of us! This is such a good idea and the car won't look like a gas station trash can from all the packaging!

That's a really clever idea. I make jewelry and different crafts and I have those types of organizing boxes. I wouldn't have thought to use them for that

I think these boxes are a great idea and you've offered a good variety of snacks. The only thing that gives me pause is they look like hardware boxes for screws, nails and such. They might not be made of food grade plastic.
