As someone who's getting a S9, I think it's still pretty good, even I haven't got it yet, but right now I have an phone from 2016, so I would say even tho it's about 4 years old, it isn't that bad, ill give my full opinion when I get it

IMO this was one of the best and most complete phones that Samsung has ever built. Iris scanner, phone jack, sd slot, MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) with NFC, cardio/oximeter sensor, FM radio receiver, faster fingerprint reader... And on top of that, it's incredibly resistent. I dropped it on the floor in so many different positions and heights. I took it to the beach and humid environments countless times. Still alive and fighting, screen is still perfect. I've got an S22 Ultra and I have to confess that the camera is really amazing. But other than that, I liked the S9 Plus better..

I've had an S9 since 2018. I like it and don't want to downgrade to an S22 with only 1080p, no headphone jack, no microsd.
The thing to realise about Samsung is their manufacturing is inconsistent and quality control not great. You could have 100 S9's and they'd all be different. I owned 2 S9's at one point ( business/personal). They both performed differently. One had better battery life, the other a better display, one took better photos, one was buggy whilst the other stable.
This is why people have very different experiences of the same Samsung products - because the same products are different.
Samsung need to get their manufacturing more consistent.

Been using my S9 for 13 months now. As much as I want to upgrade my phone, I can't seem to find a solid reason so I decided to keep it until the end of 2023. Still has that premium feel. Camera is better than most entry-level and midrange phones. I can play games (CODM, PUBG, ML) at high graphics with no frame drops at all. I only get around 4-5 hours SOT but I personally don't mind it at all as this SOT is common with other phones so it doesn't really make a difference unless you're upgrading to a flagship phone which obviously the battery will be better.

I just upgraded my S9 to an S22 and I'll be honest 😭 I freaking love my S9. The S22 has an amazing camera and speakers seem enhanced for audio and music (louder but quality seems to not be as good) sometimes crackles, not often. As far as innovation there isn't any huge innovations at all. The S22 battery is okay but not great, it charges super fast which was surpring but my S9 was easier to hold in hand and I preferred that. BUT comparing speed why are they way too similar? I don't play games but I can't tell a difference as for speed. Oh well. I do love my S22. I adore the camera.

I've had this for 4 years or so, its insanely fast(I went to devopler mode and reduced animation and other stuff) and it still keeps up to any other phone. It has SD card slot, headphone jack, wireless charging, oled, infinity/waterfall display, its just a great phone. My dad offered me his old s10 but I just stayed with the s9, I've never had a problem at all. The ONLY problem would be that Google maps doesn't work on my phone(idk why). Other then that its all good.

My s9 definitely has a worse battery than when I got it, and sometimes the screen is slow to respond to input but it compares well to many flagship phones to this day. My favorite parts are the great display, fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, and the expandable sim storage.

As someone who's used a s7 for 5 years all I can say is as long as you care for your phone you don't need to latest flagship to still keep up

I have a samsung s20 plus but just recently, I bought a slightly used s9 from Japan and I love it more than my s20 plus. It's the most gorgeous phone design for me

Battery life is good. Used heavily will give you a half day. But it has fast charging. Also form factor is great.

I pulled mine out of storage and decided to run it just to see how it performs. It's been running pretty smoothly for me so far. No major hitches so far. Just wish it had more RAM and Android 12.

I'm still using S9 and I don't plan on buying another phone for atleast 2 more years. My phone is still in good condition - it's battery life is still good, camera is amazing, it never hangs, and I am using a microSD too so I never run out of space.

I bought this phone a year after it debuted for a killer deal. I do have an iphone 11 now, but I love using the galaxy S9 at home as an extra media device. The design will forever be the most attractive design. It came with all the features a modern phone should have. If Samsung ever makes a similar phone like this, I'm definitely buying it and switching back to Android.

I recently bought this phone for my mom for a gift. I didn't want to spend over $200 and I did a bit of research and found that the s9 seemed to outshine many of the newer, lower level phones that are on the market. If you don't want to spend more than $200 for a phone than I think the S9 may be your best bet.

I love my Galaxy S9! Best phone I've ever owned. Mine doesn't glitch either. It has a great battery life as well. It's tough, water resistant, and has an awesome camera. I don't plan on getting another phone until I absolutely have to. Best phone purchase ever.

I still use my Galaxy S9+ and I still love it. Absolutely love it! The battery is getting sort of weak, but I can have it replaced for $80. I've been looking at the S21 FE for about $400, but the reviews are terribly mixed while my S9+ still performs flawlessly. Even without any more updates, I think I'll replace the battery and keep for another year or maybe two.

Is 2022 and i still use my S9. When the screen broke i bought a replacement screen from Amazon and i fixed it myself by watching a YouTube video. The battery still works perfectly and still charges to 100% no problem. Im not planning on changing my S9 anytime soon plus i talked to a technician about my S9 and he told me that it should still work for about 10 years or so, so don't worry about getting a new phone, just keep taking good care of it and it won't disappoint you. Oh and I'm still using the Original charger. 👍✌

I had my s7 until last year and it worked wonderfully. the newer Galaxy s series' pricing is just not worth it. So I'm looking for an s9. Found some on amazon for less than $200. the s10s are nearly $500

I still have my S9 since launch, im replacing the battery soon since it's lost its capacity over the years and after that I plan to use it for as long as i can. Although if you consider the same as me you might want to check out the custom rom scene, currently I have my S9 running android 12 project exilir, you need an exynos model...
