TV journalist Michael Ausiello never imagined his memoir would evolve into a theater-released film directed by Michael Showalter. “It feels a little bit like a miracle,” he told Caitlynn McDaniel. Spoiler Alert is a romantic dramedy based on Ausiello’s memoir, “Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies.” The book/film follows Michael and his longtime partner Kit Cowan after Cowan is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
