200% pay increase is enough for the workers to keep up with real inflation

Well strikes are meant to disrupt businesses so they'll fairly bargin, which Boeing has explicitly FAILED to do.

Just goes to show, never sell your soul for a paycheck. Learn how to live without one, and they have no control over you.

I do not get it Boeing offer was good. The machinist now make 75k per year and at the end of there contract they will make 111k per year. I am sure there are a lot of Americans who would love to make that kind of money. The machinist (employees) think just because the CEO made a lot of money that they should get some of it. but in reality the employee is never entitled to any profits unless the employee is vested in the company. And you need to ask your self this question why was the CEO hired. Do you know the answer. ????

As I have mentioned before in a post the longer this strike goes on the harder it will be to return to normal working conditions due to supply chain issues. But the Boeing union has not thought about this and what it means for going back to work after the strike is settled. And here is an idea once the strike is settled a lot of employees will not return to work due to supply chain issues and they may be out of work after the strike for 2 to 4 weeks at least. But the union has not thought about this and they think when they go back to work there will be unlimited overtime. always keep in mind just when you think you have it all figured out YOU DON'T. what do you think. ??? Thanks

As Boeing slowly tips over.

They won't ever recover and the longer the strike continues, the worse it will be for them if and when it ends. But, as long as corporate gets it's fat paychecks, no worries, right?

Do the suppliers get part of the raise?

Anyone would have to be very disconnected not to guess about collateral effects meanwhile Boeing is taking a long nap...

I can see it now.

Union - The good news is we have a contract and got what we wanted.

The bad news is your being furloughed since there are no parts from outside suppliers to build planes.

SUPPLIERS SHOULD BE ON THE PICKET LINE SUPPORTING THE MACHINISTS.

When all the bills come due for the strikers they will have a change heart. I was out for 2 months on strike at my job and if was not for my parents and aunt at that time I would have started to default on my loans. The strike pay is $150.00 a week. These days that will not take you far.

It's in the best interest of the aircraft workers to have Boeing as financially healthy as possible. A strike doesn't contribute to that goal.

They can use the excess capacity to build parts for Airbus instead, since Airbus is trying fill the vacuum left by Boeing

Time to move to south Carolina. Those boeing workers, some of them have mortgages, car notes, etc. They probably can hang on for another 2 months max.
