Set along the beautiful and scenic Donegal coastline, this links was founded by the Colonel B.J. Barton in 1891. The original links, which was a founding member of the Golf Union of Ireland, was designed by Charles Thompson. The well-regarded Pat Ruddy engineered a total renovation in 2000, adding length and intricacy to the links. Former Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley was also involved in the renovation.
