In the mid 1960s when i lived in Australia ( origionally from England) at the school i attended
We were given penfriends
My penfriend was from northern
Queensland & she was Native Australian or Aborigional.

We wrote often & became great friends then i was invited to go & stay with her for the long summer school holidays
My parents, keen to visit the area took me up from Sydney NSW.

During my time there i was taken to many cultural sites where the most amazing rock art could be seen & to places only known to various tribes.
This was the start of my love of
All things about Aborigional myth & legend which has carried on till
Present day.
I will never forget evenings around a bonfire listening to stories about sacred lore & legends of Dreamtime, its like nothing else ive ever heard, team that will the sounds of the Didgeridoo & the hollow logs used as drums gave an ethereal quality!

I went back to visit my friend Jassy 4 more times before we left Australia to return to Britain but i still wrote to my friend for years afterwards

The Australian Aborigional culture is so amazing & their way of life just so good ( or was in those times)
I never tire of reading about the Dreamtime, its just so unique.
The rock art is so wonderful to see & much to ponder over as there are some mysterious images.

I loved this episode too! While on my trip to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo (no, the GEM still isn’t open) I learned from a docent that the Egyptian Mummy portraits were most usually painted for the elite and royalty in their youth. These portraits done on wood were then hung in the homes of the families. When the person died, they moved the portrait from the wall to the coffin top. They were beautiful, and the people whose portraits were painted looked like they owned beautiful and pricey jewelry! It was so cool to learn the paints were imported from Greece, and one good artist was responsible for painting at least three❤🐆🐈🐈‍⬛💕🙏

The discovery of extinct date palm 🌴 tree seeds at Masada have been successfully grown. This is such an important victory for conservationists, it really should find mention in your documentaries.

Why does there need to be a difference between "gods" and "alien." If Angeles or Gods came to earth, who is to say they did not use fling machines? And if Aliens came to earth, wouldn't ancient people think they were God's?

Its odd to think about the ancient origins of Picts & Scots
Far back in time, it was the Irish who were known as the Scotti or Scoti

The people of Scotland were the Picti, over time & from invasions
The Scoti from Ireland took over the rule of Scotland

They say its the way both Irish & Scottish have the prefix
Mac or Mc before their surname
I believe the Irish is Mc & the Scottish is Mac

I dont know what happened to the Picts or Picti, if they integrated with the Scoti or infiltrated into England or sailed overseas to Scandinavia?
There is much debate over this
So if anyone knows id be grateful for any current info
