"American Land", was inspired by ‘He Lies in the American Land,’ a poem by immigrant steelworker Andrew Kovaly, was written during the 2006 Seeger Sessions with a studio version being recorded though never released. The song was played throughout that tour and heavily on the subsequent two E Street Band tours

Hello Don,

Great video. A while ago when the world's population was just say around 6b and when the population of America was around 300m or less I Googled to see how much oil Americans used compared to the rest of the world and I calculated that it was as if the population of America was 1b really. They were burning the same amount of oil as 1b others in the rest of the world was burning and working so much harder therefore than everybody else. Do you see what I'm trying to get at?
