How to turn a picture into a 2D avatar in VRChat [EASY] 2021 ver. (OUTDATED)

Finally made an update lmao. It's a shame it's a bit longer than the previous one. Well, I hope this was useful to you guys.

I forgot to mention again. Use Gimp's autocrop if you don't have photoshop.

Firefox extension for saving .webp images as .pngs (not needed if on Chrome):

(DOWNLOAD THE NEWER Unity 2019.4.31f1 version from the docs. The process is still exactly the same, and they'll prolly update the version again in the future so just follow the docs.)

4:30 I cant find any VRC_Avatar Descriptor, help.
I imported the SDK and everything worked fine until this point, after clicking Add Component I cant find anything called "VRC_ Avatar Descriptor", the only thing I could find was something called "VRC Project Settings" when searching.

I am on the latest version of Unity and VRC SDK 3.0 for avatars.
I followed the video to a T and it looks good in unity but everytime I upload it
and use it in VRC it's laying flat instead of straight up and is under the floor.
I lined up the footing of the image to the blue guy and I can see the white line below the
avatar like it should be for the origin point but it still happens. Help??

avatar descriptor wont show up for me :/ and I have 3 questions

1) is the fact that im using 2018.4.20f1 the reason why that's the problem?

2) what will happen if I don't use avatar descriptor?

3) is there something else I could use instead of avatar descriptor?

After updating to Unity 2019.4.29f, autofixing the 'Streaming Mipmaps' error, the SDK tries to access an animator, and since there is no animator on the avatar, it bugs out, sometimes crashes, any fixes?

The control panel option is not appearing for me in the VRChat SDK tab, there is only the utilities option

I can not find the VRC_Avatar Descriptor anywhere even though I'm using the correct unity version and the SDK from the VR Chat website. Do you know if I can get it separately or if I'm just doing something wrong?

uh i've ran into a problem it says that "the following component types are found on the avatar and will be romoved by the client: transform, VRC_avatar descriptor, mesh filter, mesh renderer" i dont know what im doing wrong and when i click auto fix it just leaves the builder blank.

Any idea how to make it work on quest ? I got it working on PC mode, but when converting to quest, there's not a transparent image, instead of it, there is black area. Any idea how to fix it ?
