Remember George Orwell's 1984? The term "Doublespeak" ... as an 8th grader I wad confused about that word. The storyline included doublespeak but it just seemed like an obvious lie, how would anybody fall for that? When I hear the speeches from the RNC convention, I hear doublespeak and I think that it is hard to tell a lie from the truth when you really want to believe it. Do people really believe that the same people who are funding these elections in the millions of dollars also want the working class to have something better? Does it make any sense to spend millions on campaign ads when those millions could make a big difference if spent for ... say...raising working class wages?

Does the MAGA Base really know the wide margin of income gap between the wealthiest and the poorest in our country? In 2020 it was reported by CBS that

Out of those nine slices, four would go to just the top 1%..
