This series of videos accompanies a laboratory exercise entitled Vibration Analysis of Rotating Machines - Rotational Laser Doppler Vibrometry in which Dr Ben Halkon, Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and IT at UTS describes the nature and application of laser rotational vibrometry for the measurement of angular and torsional vibration.

In this second of three video clips, the use the rotational laser vibrometer to make a measurement of torsional vibration is described with the level possible to be determined based on the sensitivity previously derived (refer to the lab handout). Furthermore, some of the benefits of the rotational vibrometer are described and demonstrated.
