Worst, when the elders are comparing material stuff inside the house.

Truth is, we can't please everyone. Someone will always find a bit to pick with us. I find it best to ignore the toxic questions (also, toxic relatives, where applicable).

It seems singles in this country always face similar situations. I had the same problems.as Nandini when I startes hitting my late twenties and all through my thirties. Now that I'm in my fifties the questions have stopped! Hahaha! Wish I'd thought of similar witty answer when asked about my results at uni though, because at a UK uni the higher you score the less number you get so I could anwer, "auntie aahhh, my result sikit onlyyyy...."

Some of the best questions people asked me before:
1. "Dah makan ke?" When I am eating in front of them
2. "Dah balik ke belum?" When I am right in front of them
3. "Umur berape?" When they just asked that question yesterday
4. "Mana tandas?" When I came out of toilet and the sound of the flush can still be heard
5. "Ade jumpe barang aku tak?" When they hold them in their hands
