New theory on how Easter Island statues 'walked'

Scientists believe they mave have solved the mystery of how the mysterious stone statues, or moai, of Easter Island were 'walked' into position hundreds of years ago. An experiment showed that three groups of people using ropes were able to 'walk' a smaller version of the 10m, 80 ton, figures from the quarry to their platforms several miles away.
