2014 V6 Mustang Review! - Is the V6 Ford Mustang Worthy of Being a Track Car?

The V6 Mustang has gotten a lot of hate over the years...for good reason. However in 2011 they brought out the new 3.7 liter V6 with over 300hp and it actually was decent to drive! Can a modified car of this be worth as a track car? For this in depth review we find out. Thanks for watching!

Any car can be a track car, just depends how fast you want to go around the track

I just recently bought a 2014 V6 and ABSOLUTELY love it. It already had a custom cat back exhaust, which was nice. I wouldn’t trade this V6 for a V8 in any way. It talkative, it’s fast, and fun.

one of the best v6 engines made! My 2012 Mustang woke up with 3.37 gears and a engine tune, aluminum racing clutch, one piece driveshaft. Wow! Ford made a great V6 3.7 bullet proof.

Thanks for watching guys!
What do you think of the 3.7 V6?

4:43 "she's staying away from the crowd" yes! I wish every mustang owner thought like her

I support it 100%! Is it as fast as a 5.0? Ofcourse not, but that's not the point. Take what you have, and do awesome things with it!

I don't think she necessarily did something different, but she did something everyone wants to do. I've always read stuff online like "should I buy a v6 mustang for a track" but most people will reply "get a miata or a 5.0"
I suppose it's one of those fuck you Im gonna do it anyways kind of things.

This is a nice setup. The v6 is really fun because you can drive it at 100%, 100% of the time. A few minor bolt-ons really bring this to life in an incredible way without the need for boost. I recommend 3.73 gears, CAI with tune. Some non essential bonuses would be the 73mm throttle body, one piece drive shaft, strut tower brace. All these things are not too expensive and really change the car.

I've noticed a lot of questions asking what all this car has had done to it so I figured I'd swoop in with the answers. I'll try to be specific without going overboard. This is my girlfriend's Mustang and I know she'd like for your questions to be answered so here we go:
First off, it started life as a base 2014 Mustang V6 Automatic with the tech, security, and FP6 appearance package but has gone nuts since then. From the front back you will see that it has the APR GT500 carbon fiber splitter, Cervinis GT500 grilles and chin spoiler, MMD headlight splitters, some engine bay dress-up plus the sticker-bombed radiator cover, Staggered 20" MMD 551c wheels, Custom red pinstripes and black decals, tinted windows, black roof wrap, Roush spoiler, RTR decklid, and Boss 302 diffuser. The interior has the fixed-back Sparco Evo Plus racing seats, Braum harness bar, G-Force harnesses, custom rear seat delete, GT/CS dash insert with "3.7 Cyclone" badge, and custom red mood-lighting. Performance mods include Roush CAI, Custom Bama Tune, fully adjustable SR Performance Coilovers, SR adjustable front sway bar, Boss 302S rear sway bar, Boss 302 strut tower brace, BMR adjustable control arms and panhard bar, Mac ceramic headers with BBK x-pipe and Roush axle back exhaust, 3.73 Rear Gears, Torsen Differential, One-piece aluminum driveshaft, and and 6-piston 14" Wilwood front brakes (which were not installed when this video was shot).
I think that completes the list. Let me know if you have any questions!

Damn the owner's a badass. Kudos to her. Good to see someone putting the Cyclone to good use :)

You have got to love the 3.7 so much fun to drive.

I really like the pin striping. It adds a lot to the look and stays very tasteful. I can see that having a lighter front end would make the car feel more agile

This video is so awesome bc I actually just bought a 2014 v6 mustang and performance wise it has bbk headers, roush exhuast and an h pipe and I love it, it's extremely fun and this video really shows just how underrated they are

Great review, man! Of course, we both appreciate the time that you took to do this review of A's car! It was a pleasure!

Thanks for reviewing this. She picked a car she liked and did something fun with it. It doesn't have to be a mind blowing track burner to be a good car. But it's extra fun watching people get bent out of shape about it. :)

Great looking car and build. Always got the V8 fan boys in the comments with any V6 video. Why even watch? Anyway nice review man👍

Its strange how in a certain car a V6 or I6 is "the best" but in others its sacrilege.

Porche - 6cyl boxer
BMW - I6
Supra -I6
Nissan/Datsun (any of them, 240, GTR etc) - I6/V6

Cool to hear a v6 like this actually makes it out on a road course. Hell sometime ThatDudeinBlue might have to do a review of my 3.7 manual.

Sweet set up. For those who didn’t know you can have an exhaust system with less rasp on this car

Lol I like how people who own 2v are talking shit about the v6 but it's making more power than them
