The idea of determinism is that you can’t make “unhindered decisions for yourself”, therefore there is no free will, only the illusion of it.

Here's what i think,
Free will does exist to an extent I have developed myself to be a non conformist .
Simply put,
Like you said worrying about that is being unnecessarily obligated to choose either side of the spectrum of free will vs determinism.

This obligation is deteminism, a need to a sense of belonging most people adhere to without even thinking about it .

Acknowledging the deterministic argument and the factual features, we are still free to be free, by free i mean a non conformist .

A whole lot of wrong if we’re honest. Both ideas are at odds with each other and we already know determinism is essentially the way the universe works.
