Installing Empi's WIde Five Disc Brakes with E-Brake"s ( P/N 22-2905 ). In this video I show you how I installed Empi's zero off-set rear disc brake kit. The kit is very complete and fairly well thought out, with only a few small things that could be improved upon I.E brake line length. The installation Should only take about half a day to install for someone that is fairly competent with working with hand tools.

This video IS NOT a replacement for the instructions to the kit, or a complete how to. Always follow the manufactures recommendations and procedures, as serious injury or death could occur.

Has anyone noticed the rear outer race can move around when installing the new calliper bracket? I noticed I have a gap between the retainer and the outside race after installing the new bracket. It is about 1/16” + thicker than the original drum brake backing plate

Did you have any issues with leaking trans oil? I've been reading about these and apparently the bracket is 1.3mm thicker than the old backing plate. My set has been leaking. I have ordered the cast brackets which are supposed to be only 5mm. Though these brackets were $200 - quite pricey. Also, any issues not having a dust/dirt shield?

Nice job! I'm getting read to do this to my Ghia. Did you end up rotating your caliper to 12 o'clock to bleed them? If so, did that cause the metal brake line to twist. I wonder if a longer flexible brake line would do the trick.

Great video, i enjoyed watching.
Hey quick question
Im planning to convert motor to subie power. It will be roughly 100 hp. I already have disc brakes in the front, my question is. Do you think i should convert the rear?
Thank you for your opinion in advance.

Did you need to install a residual valve?
