[S11 E34] The Rational & Irrational in Anti-Vaxxers

On this week's show, Prof. Wolff presents updates on the complexities of anti-vaccination movements, the long decline of religion in US capitalism, Disneys’s shift to serve the richest, lessons from AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka's leadership, and failures of GOP and Dem leaders to stop last 75 years of decline of manufacturing in the US economy (driven by corporate profitability).

“Hennelly brilliantly analyzes our capitalist crises and how individuals cope with them, tragically but often heroically. He helps us draw inspiration and realistic hope from how courageous Americans are facing and fixing a stuck nation.” - Richard D. Wolff

In France a section of the anti-covid pass base their opposition on the experimental nature of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and on their use of a new technology which has yet to undergo the length of testing typically required in developing safe vaccines. The major socialist politician, Jean Luc Mélenchon. adopts this view and also argues for the use of the Russian, Cuban and Chinese vaccines which are based on tried and tested technologies used in the development of other vaccines.

Would be interesting if Dr. Wolff would address the people who don’t want vaccines based on vaccine injury which MSM has ensured we are not allowed to have a conversation about. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I reluctantly got the jab yesterday. Not a single symptom so far - not even a tiny bruise. I resent my suspicions, but corporate and government greed has, understandably, undermined our trust.

I got vaccinated, but I have serious concerns about it. Anything developed very rapidly, that massively enriches Big Pharma, makes me very uncomfortable.

It shouldn't be hard for labor to understand that when business interests are readily, fully, eagerly international, LABOR interests need to be readily, fully, eagerly international too. We don't merely need more unions. We need ones that are at least mutually informed and allied across every border their industries straddle.

Unions represent the Collective voice of millions of "little people" whose voice would otherwise go unheard. Here is the relevant equation : Millions of little people with little money or influence = a very FEW people with ALOT of money and influence. In today's political/economic climate we have forgotten the power of numbers. It is easy to break a single stick, but bundle enough sticks together and even the strongest man fails in the attempt.

One only needs to watch "Molly Maquires" to see the link between labor and the church. Who rides away after the soccer game with the company boss? It is easy to see why churches are not taxed.

Ever heard of 'The Pearly Gates Syndicate: Or How to sell Real Estate in Heaven' by Charles Merrill Smith (1971)? Yup, 1971! This religious racket has been recognized and called out for a long time. About time it declined. Let the Megachurches to Capitalism be the first to go!

Control is the purpose for the use of the term "Anti-Vaxxer".

Idk. I don’t think it was a “strategy mistake” when people do things that are very inefficient, it was by design and by selling out. No one, keeps their job by making “honest horrendous mistakes.”

Three nights at the star wars hotel cost a year of college in Ireland.

Also should be mentioned that every tax cut the Republicans and many Democrats supported actually made it cheaper and more cost-effective to send those jobs overseas for the cheaper labor...

The very fact that this show is sindicated is amazing considering the times we live in.
