Day 71: Behold God — The Rosary in a Year (with Fr. Mark-Mary Ames)

What was the experience of the shepherds, called by angels to the birth of God? How would we react to seeing the newborn Christ? Fr. Mark-Mary leads us in lectio divina, drawing us into the experience of the Nativity, as we behold the innocence and humility of the baby Jesus. We ask for the grace to not be afraid to draw close to God. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Nativity and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

Thank you Fatger Mark-Mary 🙏🏻📿 I imagined the scenario of shyly looking into The Blessed Virgin Mary with Jesus in her arms, Holy Joseph and the all who were there that night. Here in Puerto Rico, every school, public or private, closes the school years with the Beautiful Scenario of the Nativity. Every child participates, They chose a girl to be The Blessed Mother Mary, a Boy to be Saint Joseph and a real baby is placed in a cae seat… all dress accordingly. The three Kings are played by 3 dads… there’s hundreds of children dressed as Angels and Drummers, children dressed as camels and they all sing and dance and rejoice everyone, for they spent days rehearsing their parts. This is part of our culture. My own children were angels and one year, my daughter was the Star of Bethlehem. In return, they receive standing ovations from family members and candy… then our children celebrate Christmas much the same way in most churches, I missed those years, my children are now grown and we have a grandchild. We hope to re lived these beautiful moments of the Nativity, like I just did as you asked me to imagine it. … Do not be afraid, be humble!” Beautiful words Father, thank you 🙏🏻♥️📿
