I started using Godot a little over a year ago and have gotten used to it, but it is far from being perfect. Here's a few knitpicks I have with the Engine.

After posting this video I realise that I could make tutorials. Gonna open up a new channel for that, this channel will be for more WESTMEN / Devlog / Fun stuff me thinks. Hope you liked the video ^^

About the scripting window, it bothered me too, that you cannot just hide the left side with the slider, or even change the left side panel onto the right side instead.

About exporting, yeah that is an annoying problem, but may be avoided manually. There is an option on the Top side's Editor tab called "Manage Editor Features", where you may hide or remove certain parts of the engine. Now Idk if that option does reduce the size of the exported files if you only remove Nodes that don't matter in the final product, but if it does, it's one way to reduce it. If it isn't, then it's related to the exported template which Godot provides, on that case the forks of Godot have to maintain their own with their own methods to reduce the size.

Good to see you are considering a different approach from Godot, exploring other options out there can help you what you want to do, so hopefully you find a place for your work to rely on!
