Baijiu, China's national spirit, seeking markets abroad where taste still fails to intoxicate

Baijiu has the distinction of being the most-consumed spirit in the world.
Some 10.8 billion litres of baijiu were consumed in 2018 alone, according to estimates by industry analysis group IWSR.
But most baijiu is consumed in China, where the liquor is made, and efforts to take “China’s national drink” abroad have so far failed to take off.
Thirsty for new markets, distilleries in China remain optimistic they can follow the path to international fame taken by once-obscure alcoholic drinks such as vodka and tequila.

That man isn't finished talking.
Why the video end in the middle of his talking. He needs to talk more about baijiu.

The video is incomplete.

First, usually when I heard of baijiu abroad people talk about it as Chinese sake, that you take only at restaurant. Second there are so many different tastes of baijiu but people don't know about it, if they try something very traditional indeed they keep a bad impression because it doesn't fit the taste of thr market, while some other baijiu i tried didn't have that taste that irks "us" (i can't stand the "horse" smell neither)

We who are not living, we who are unseen, unheard and untouchable are here. We are here to place judgement upon you for your ways are counted. For your ways are wicked and your soul is unrighteous.

I love Baijiu, but Westerners can't handle it, there's no point in trying to market it over here.
Most people here in UK drink beer and wine.
