The daily Emirates Airbus A380 flight arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol on runway 36R. This is a very unique planespotting position because your standing very high on a hill and you have a great view on the runway. It was a stormy day but there were no crosswinds.
Thanks for watching.

Absolutely excellent landing, so soft it didn't make much tyre smoke

"...high on a hill?" Must be the only hill in Amsterdam! Or the Netherlands for that matter! Kidding of course...sort of. Anyway, great video as always. Thanks.

Another great video as usual. Thanks for adding a shot of your setup. Do you find that you set the lens at 400mm often? I ask because I may just buy the 400mm prime.

For those who don't like paint on planes. The wingspan of an Airbus A380 is 80m (airbus.com), assuming that the wings are 20m in width, =80x40=320m sq. According to Dulux paint company, a house requiring new paint & has a 320m sq. surface area. one door & one window requires 41 litres of paint.

Virgin Aus Airlines like to paint some of their planes red and Korean Air Aqua.

Also, aluminium isn't naturally white, TATA flight 110 in 24 May 1988 encountered hail and some of its white paint came off.

AWESOME video, and like EdelweissAir100 says I thought that would be a hard landing but then what a great touch-down!!! :D

Great video .. but what runway was it? 36R perhaps? 36C? 06? It's hard to figure it out even when visiting EHAM on an almost daily basis. It's probably because of the telephoto lens that compresses everything like perspective. Thanks for your answer.
