Analog Rytm Evolution // OS 1.70 Upgrade

It’s evolution time for the Analog Rytm! OS 1.70 has arrived, granting this stellar drum computer extra sequencer magic, new machines and parameters packed full of melodic possibilities, and tons more.

Euclidean Mode opens up a whole new way to unleash the Elektron sequencer. Generate and tweak complex rhythms with ease courtesy of two Euclidean generators, bringing unique adaptability, all at the twist of a knob.

Five additional Machines swell the Rytm’s total to 33. HH LAB is a wicked laboratory for all kinds of metallic experiments. SY CHIP is inspired by the wonderful SidStation spellbook. BD and SD ACOUSTIC boost the kick and snare drum tools at your disposal. And SY RAW is a versatile synth capable of deep basses and soaring leads.

There are also four existing machines getting new parameters to play with, refined tuning possibilities and dozens of scales added to compliment all this fresh melodic machinery, and a bunch more creativity-unlocking and super practical feature additions.

The Analog Rytm may be a drum machine at heart, but now it has a whole extra level of melody-enabling musical power at its disposal. And so do you.

I'm so happy with the improved oscillator tuning option. I can finally tune my drum sounds the way I want when I'm working on something other than the pitch standard. I had previously asked Elektron if this was possible, but it turned out not to be possible at the time. I'm super excited that we got this option after all.

Great visuals and feel that the voice over pays homage to some of the original tuts, scientific and laboratory vibe. I don’t own one but love how elektron take the time to update the Os, it makes buying a box made by them a great investment. I own a couple of digitakts (plus a Machinedrum) and the latest updates have really freshened things up. Sounds like a great upgrade jelly, enjoy! & hats off to elektron for keeping things fresh. It also means that people hang onto their gear which from an environmental perspective is really good too 🤙

When you're waiting for the calibration to finish after almost 2 and a half hours, and THEN decide to look through the manuel to find out that you should leave the drum machine on for at least 2 hours before you start the calibration IS MOST ANNOYING. F*CK

Woah. This is amazing! Did not see this coming at all. Now, all I wish for in 2024 (ten years anniversary) would be 128 steps in the sequencer, please. I know, probability and random and chance and all that. But that does not work for melodic content that would spawn across eight bars.

Bug report
Loving the new functionalities of this update but since updating to 1.70, whenever I do live motion record of the parameters of the trig page (ie. velocity, note, etc) on a track that is not the track 1, it records it on the track 1. It is the case for all tracks but only for the trig page.
Could it be looked at for future updates, please?
