Russia-Ukraine standoff: Biden, Putin governments square off at UN Security Council | FULL

The U.S. and Russian ambassadors to the United Nations squared off at the U.N. Security Council on Monday, after Moscow lost their bid to block a public meeting on the troop buildup along Ukraine's border and ongoing tensions between the two countries.
Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., criticized words by Russia's representative claiming the U.S. was trying to "weaken" the eastern country. She said that the U.S. recognition of what is happening along the border and encouraging diplomacy was "not provocative," while threats of action if demands by Moscow aren't met are "provocative."
Russia's ambassador, Vasily Nebenzya, said that while they voted against holding the procedural meeting, it doesn't imply Russia was afraid to discuss the issue. He then accused the U.S. of "whipping up hysterics."
Russia has denied it plans to launch an attack, but has made several demands, including for NATO to promise never to allow Ukraine to join the alliance and for it to halt the deployment of weapons near Russia's border.
Ukraine's ambassador also spoke at the meeting, saying a "serious talk" at the Security Council was needed more than ever to present facts, listen to positions and concerns, and outline "further actions towards de-escalation."
