Yelena Popovic is a Serbian/American actress, writer, director, and producer. She studied at Playhouse West, an industry-recognized premier acting school and training ground for actors, writers, and directors. Her directing debut «L.A. Superheroes» (2013) won Audience Award Winner of the NYIIFVF. She also produced «Monday Nights at Seven» through her company Simeon Entertainment and has several other active projects in development.

When my ex-girlfriend was a patient for dialysis and she was in desperate need of a kidney transplant, I turned to this Greek Orthodox Saint and prayed to him and asked for his intercession. And sure enough, my ex-girlfriend received a kidney transplant.

When my friends sister had an aneurysm I asked St Nektarios for his intercessions and she miraculously survived! Also my dad was sick for months and no doctors knew what it was. I asked this great saint again and he was out doing yard work the next day! St Nektarios pray for us!

Just saw this movie tonight. Very moved. There is a small behind the scenes documentary after the credits that shows how an actual miracle took place during the filming of the movie. Praise God.

Soon after the movie I received a book as a gift about his life, I must say that this is first time I admired the movie more than a book, maybe because I could never imagine that movie could be directed but because of pure love and tremendous blessing which was given to everyone in the audience. Incredible movie. I have to admit that although I'm someone who isn't close to religion and the church in general, that Saint Nectarios and his story really had an impact on me. I even remember my grandparents who weren't orthodox that they would often refer to him when my grandad was ill. When you get people from other religions refer to him that's when you know how important to humanity this guy was.

Whenever I think of this Greek Orthodox Saint, I also think about my friend, Gabriel Carpentieri who suffers from a incurable illness, Crohn’s disease. I feel like I want to pray to this Greek Orthodox Saint and ask him for his divine intervention to have Gabriel Carpentieri miraculously cured, healed and recovered by the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed Saint Nectarios, I know that I haven’t prayed to you in a couple years but I’m asking you to pray for my friend Gabriel Carpentieri who suffers from Crohn’s disease. Pray that his incurable illness won’t get any worse and hopefully the Lord Jesus Christ will have him miraculously cured, healed and recovered. Amen.

Today,
I’ve received some bad medical news. I’ve been tested positive for Covid-19 virus and so far the symptoms are mild such as a mild fever and a little sweat. But I sincerely hope and pray that the virus won’t get any worse inside me and I hope and pray sincerely that I make a full recovery and hopefully nothing worse will happen.
