so ik this video has nothing related to this comment but i need some help. i’m starting to come into my roots with our spirituality as africans(i’m ghanaian). i’m just confused with meditation right now i know that you must have a shrine/altar to speak with our ancestors while meditating, but what if you can’t make one at the moment? can i just meditate with nothing sitting in the lotus position for a long time(hours) and get a response/communicate with my ancestors, get answers from the abosom(deities)?, or will i even gain knowledge from just being still? is meditating like that even in our spirituality as africans? did our ancestors meditate with altars all the time or did they sometimes sit by themselves? or did they do both? maybe i’m overthinking it, but i really want to know because it seems like all these spiritual people just sit down and meditate for hours or maybe even minutes(they never say how long they do it for)with no altar/shrine and get some typa breakthrough. i just need answers i’m tired of seeking outside of my self. i’m only 17 so i’m new to all of this.
