Buying a TV stand goes beyond style and color; here's everything you need to know when buying a TV stand.
First, you have to know if the stand you're buying has enough space to accommodate all your equipment and that has some breathing room to make sure your devices don't get too hot.
You'll also want to think of cable management; TV stands with closed backs keep cable clutter out of sight, but you're going to need enough amply sized holes for wire management. You can minimize the need for large holes, by utilizing the use of smaller cables, which you can find many that are a lot thinner today, but speaker wires tend to take up a lot of space, so plan ahead.
Another consideration is to see if you need to "see" your equipment. Some devices may need you to use clear glass to receive transmissions from a remote control.
Finally, the size of your stand, or no stand at all, will play an important role on some visible ways your television will be displayed. You can go with a floating stand, that has brackets to hold the stand in place, or simply have it sit on the TV's legs. You can also go with no stand at all, by wall mounting your TV.
