The trailer for Disney+’s all-new adventure comedy “Home Sweet Home Alone” is here! The reimagining of the beloved holiday film franchise will debut November 12, 2021 exclusively on Disney+.

“Home Sweet Home Alone” stars Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell. The film is directed by Dan Mazer from a screenplay by Mikey Day & Streeter Seidell, story by Mikey Day & Streeter Seidell and John Hughes based on a screenplay by John Hughes. Hutch Parker, p.g.a. and Dan Wilson, p.g.a. produce, with Jeremiah Samuels serving as executive producer.

This is an embarrassment to the medium of film. What a way to tell the world you're creatively bankrupt. It seems completely void of any original ideas, and the "modern" brand of humor they are porting in and pouring on top of this soulless remake of a holiday classic is at least 10 years old. "Hey guys! What if we remake Home Alone beat-for-beat (yet again), only we make the kid British and have the criminals talk like they belong in a Steve Carell film from 15 years ago?" - whoever pitched this piece of filmic fecal matter

Home alone 1&2 are the best Christmas movies EVER. I don't understand why they want 2 remake the best movie of the 90's. The only one Who will make this a succes is Kevin and his family! And they did a lot of work with the warmth in home alone 1&2! Christmas music, Lights. I miss that in the remake!

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all throughout Disney, not a remake was created, not even Home Alone. That’s what I hoped for anyway.

If they want to make a Home Alone movie they need to understand that proper cinematography and a solid script is needed.
The movie wasn't that bad on its own, but I think their biggest mistake was to call it a Home Alone sequel. Home Alone 1 & 2 was pure magic. This is a knock off Magician box.

I would understand if the plot was that the grown-up Macaulay Culkin would become a father and he had a child or a bunch of children, and he and his wife left their child in the house and broke into the house when the robbers in the person of Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern started robbing the house, that would be possible to build a remake from this, imho.

If it's not written by John Hughes then it's not Home Alone so don't even try.
