Listen to this and look up at the night sky. Look at the stars, and imagine billions of galaxies. Think about how big a galaxy is and multiply that by billions, then think about how small we are in this universe. But think about how lucky we are to be able to be self conscious and be aware of how beautiful it is. Appreciate that we are indeed unique, but also that we are part of a much larger whole. And how beautiful that whole is.

This really sounds like a ray of hope for the humanity against The Combine, although it also has a feeling of hopelessness, because no matter how much you believe in humanity they will never be able to fully defeat The Combine.

ooohh man... every time this song appears, quickly up the stair of the observation tower in the camp and take a look at the beach... that feels amazing

this probably sounds a little cliche, but sometimes i hear this music and i feel like it fits with a citizen who finally escapes and becomes a refugee, and without drinking the breen water for so long he starts to slowly remember what he experienced during the seven hour war and the resonance cascade in flashbacks.

how this would make sense in lore is that some rebels/refugees may just drink rainwater or filtered water. its possible natural waterways are too polluted to be boiled. some might still rely on breen water but i feel that could turn south pretty fast, because its harder to get the standard cans when youre no longer a standard citizen, and the memory wiping effects are strong enough to wipe memories from minutes before, as seen with the rice box man at the first C17 trainstation level.
