It starts to make sense the older we get. I was in a relationship with a woman who went back to her ex. What hurt the most was she told me that their relationship was dead. Although, I played my part and I wasn't a perfect man. I gave it everything I had.. I promised to marry her, and things were going well. At times, I thought we were inseparable! I truly loved this girl.. Then we would have our arguments, the insecurities, the trust issues. Men trying to come between us, women slandering my name to her. I felt that I was being under attack and they wanted me out the picture. Plus I didn't feel too good about myself. I didn't have a place to stay, so my confidence was down bad. I finally let her know this and I think it changed our relationship. I would lash out at her and she didn't deserve it. It was getting worse. I really needed help. We took some time apart and I was going to get counseling. She came back to tell me that her ex came back into her life and he proposed to her. And she accepted.. I still have this scar on my heart. I was invited to the wedding and a part of me died. To see the woman you thought was your soulmate, all the laughter, tears, smiles we shared. Throw it all away. I haven't found my smile since. This song reminds me of the hurt I felt when we I lost her. I would do anything for her. I'm so sorry we couldn't make it. 💔🙏🏼
