Ben was lucky enough to get to play with one of the new Braumeister's (unboxing video on the way) and is super excited to show it off in a live brewing demo. We run through the new features and upgrades.

Then, to celebrate its German heritage, we will be making a Dusseldorf Altbier. Whilst there will be info about the style and the recipe choices in the demo, this is really going to be an attempt to showcase some of the awesome new features built into this newest generation of Braumeisters.

Would have loved to hear more about the ingredient list and brew steps. Can something be posted, or is there a link to a brew sheet? If it's ONLY about the equipment, then you loose everyone who already has some equipment as a viewer. Just my perspective.

Oops okay so the second camera was projected to the left side the screen for the beginning of the show. It gets fixed at 7:08. Promise.

The manual tells you not to put in the malt pipe until the controller prompts you to do so. The reason is that the heating element starts heating the water while the pump is working. When you put in 23 liters of water it will not overflow the mailt pipe (because there is no malt in it yet) so the water stays inside the malt pipe and the heating element runs dry and can overheat. Yet I saw you do it without consequences.

Appreciated the demo! Unfortunately I'm in the states otherwise I'd have probably been in your shop by now for some of your past live demos. The new Braumeister looks awesome but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of owners over here. I live pretty close to a MoreBeer but the guys there don't know too much about the Braumeisters. My biggest question is what sort of maximum OG can you realistically hit with a normal single infusion mash and 60-90 minute boil? I know you can do a reiterated mash or double mash and add sugar/DME but it would be nice to avoid that if possible for a 1.070-1.080 OG beer. If I were to get one it'd probably be the 10 liter version.
