Miniature Polymer clay Toilet Paper Tutorial

This is a video tutorial on how to make miniature polymer Toilet Paper pendant!
For making it I used polymer clay (my favorite brands: Premo, Fimo, Cernit and Sculpey),Wooden chopstick, liquid polymer clay Sculpey / Fimo gel, Paper towel, Sandpaper.

Hey there, love this. A few questions if that's ok?
• How do you get the clay to be an even strip (in thickness)? 
• Is there a trick to pulling clay off the chopstick? Mine sticks to it and deforms as I pull it off. 
• Why mix with translucent clay?
• What colour brown did you use? (mine's not very browny)
• How do you prevent the clay sticking to your mat? Mine does!

Can't get the clay off the wood, baked or not, and pressing a paper towel on it doesn't work either. I've been making and selling things made of clay for years and I've never been so frustrated over something so simple.
