Across the Green Grass Fields deserves a boo. There. I said it.

I enjoyed Circe - I thought the audiobook was really well done. It built the atmosphere really well. But I only gave it 3 stars and don't feel any need to read it again.

You put Darkdawn into Boo and I gasped. Not because it doesn't deserve it, because it does (authors breaking their canon promises is unforgivable imo) - I just thought you wouldn't go there.

The fact that you liked Green Grass more than Rage of Dragons doesn't say much for Rage of Dragons. lol

Watching you try to place the Witcher book was hilarious.

I still don't know why you read The Book Thief. I love it, but it obviously wasn't something you were going to really enjoy.

I loved The City We Became. I, too, was frustrated by how issues were shoved down my throat but I also understand why it was written that way - these are serious issues that white people fundamentally don't understand and I can respect that it must be frustrating as a POC to have to continue to explain it or why it needs to be addressed. I think there was a lot of that in the book. But I also think it's a book that you can read at a time that's wrong for you personally. I remember last year I was so excited to read it when it arrived but when I started it, I just found it was too disheartening with everything else going on the in world at the time. I put it down and when I went back to it several months later, it was much a much easier and more enjoyable reading experience.
