Mate, you have got to be the single LEAST annoying person on the whole of YouTube, in a world where most content creators irritate me to the point where I want to go postal. You seem like someone I could, and would absolutely sit down and have a real conversation with and for me that’s pretty rare. Really love the videos that you guys have been putting up. You seem very genuine and pleasant. I think it’s important to take the time to tell someone when they are doing something right and positive, as opposed to something wrong and negative. Homesick Pilots is such an underrated title. The artwork is absolutely incredible. The coloring and lettering absolutely stand out from many other modern titles

I'm always surprised when I find out somebody didn't like Outcast. If you read it originally month-to-month, maybe I can understand since it's a slow-burn. But it's good. If it weren't for Invincible, it would be my favorite Kirkman comic.


On another note, as for indie comics, I don't think I've yet read a Vault or AWA title that has disappointed.

A person favorite of mine from the last few years was Starlight and mantle. I remember randomly getting both and being very surprised at how good they were.

Image had been putting out some of the best titles on the stands...Dept. of Truth is phenomenal, Radiant Black & Geiger have been intriguing so far and Stillwater is pretty good, but I hope it's going somewhere soon. Also check out That Texas Blood, Killadelphia, Decorum and Moonshine.

I really enjoy Stillwater and home sick pilots

Yeah chips handling of the series of Stillwater is truly amazing because I never thought I was going to like a serious talking about a town that's actually within a 10 mile radius that makes people immortal and they have to basically keep the secret and someone coming out from the big city discovering the secret and then killing him and then find out he was actually one time a resident of the town that his mother sent him to escape. Even trying to detail all that it's very complex and very interesting to know that there's so many layers to this story it's very complex even when there's a issue mostly focusing on a particular character they have a very unique role to play and interesting backstory it's very astonishing what's being accomplished within that series


In homesick pilots my God it's it's really creepy having a creepy old haunted house basically capturing these kids for venturing in there and using them to like capture these other ghosts that have escaped but yet has another alternative motive as well.

Crossover is okay I mean I'm slowly getting one over by that series but it's okay

Dope list, my shop sold me on Fire Power and glad they did. Took a shot too on Stillwater and definitely enjoying that series too. I would recommend Silver Coin, Stray Dogs and Family Tree as some fun image books to get into.

Hey, Mike! Damn, bro! As I was watching this video, I was like, "For real?" Lol. Because the first 3 titles u talk about have just popped up on my radar in the last couple of days! And the last 2 are very intriguing! As always, I LUV LUV LUV the way u guys are open & into comics that don't just fit w/in the superhero genre- or, in some cases, any popular genre, for that matter! U know I'm all about "different." Yes, I would say that horror, sci-fi, westerns, vigilante justice, & just straight up weird comics are my favorite genres(and I, personally, include "anthology" as a subgenre w/in any given genre or genres- and not as its own genre; and I also always keep a lookout for comics w/in the aforementioned genres that bring spiritual &/or philosophical aspects along w/them- as well as comics w/strong emotional vibes that make me really feel something... u know what I'm talking about: "the feels!"). But... a comic that is different can fall w/in these favorite categories of mine. And if it doesn't, I'm still all about it, because, imho, it is so much more interesting to sometimes read a comic that takes u places u either haven't been, or wouldn't usually go. I feel that variety is vital- for me, anyways- for comics to be more than entertaining. Entertaining is awesome! But if I'm never exposed to things outside of my "comfort zone, " so-to-speak, I don't know if comics would help me grow as a person as much as they would otherwise. So, finding things that are different is always cool to me! So props, my brother, for shining a light on these titles! I would luv to check out all of them at some point!
*Right now, my focus is on our beloved & adorable newly adopted little furbaby rescue, Blue. He has had to endure countless vet visits & meds since we adopted him just back on May 15th. Our vets think he has some kind of serious lung problem & internal(heart, abdominal, etc) problem that they haven't been able to figure out w/x-rays, bloodwork, etc. He has an appt w/a specialist coming up on June 19th. Needless to say, we are very worried right now, & are praying it is something that can be treated. But if not, we will still continue giving him whatever meds the vets think he will need to keep him in as much comfort as possible(and obviously continue to shower him w/ALL the luv we have!). We fell head-over-heels in luv w/him immediately when we adopted him. It breaks our heart to know that he has been so brutally abused his whole life, & is now having to fight this health battle. If u & Matt could say a prayer for him, we'd really appreciate it! Thanx, my brothers!🤗

Department of Truth too one of my current favorites. If you love conspiracy theories like I do haha. The art does take some getting used to though but once you get passed that definitely a fun series

Ditto on Stillwater and Crossover, great stories! I would also throw Geiger by Geoff Johns & Gary Frank in the mix, only three issues in but off to a great start

I was gonna work for Dark Horse comics but the only accept team proposals.😠 But it seems Image comics accepts writer-only proposals. I just hope Image is still around after I finish college. 😬
