Due to the fact that I receive a lot of messages with questions related to BMW NIGHT VISION I thought I would create this video in which I explain what I know about this system, everything I say and show is what I have learned over time from official information, from my own experience working with this system and from information posted online by other people, This information should not be taken as a standard.

Hi, really lear a lot from your video, one question on the night vision, if I got a full set of the night vision system, do I need to buy any additional item to activate it? or I can just install and code it to enable? Many thanks.

Thanks you for your indepth knowledge on this BMW Night Vision system. I get "night vision Malfunction" randomly on my 2008 E61 BMW 535xi touring. NV Works sometime, then I will get the malfunction message. How to diagnose?

Hello, what "CIC" would you recommend in 2021? For a hobbist not a buissness level. Have the need to rewrite firmware/software to the car modules.

I just rebuilding a 🔥burned down🔥 E60 from weir harness on up. Not worth it, but I need something, antisocial to do. It's at "the red car lift of death please". Some stuff works most things don't. 😂OBD2 said that I just need a new gas cap and better fuel ⛽ quality🤣.
PS spent about $600 on that death trap not about to shellout much more than a 1000 on this project that could spontaneously combust 🙄😒 again. Have some experience with microcontrollers, command line network equipment, publishing applets, and VCDS with unlicensed cables, databases.

Salut. Am un e92 și ma tentează ideea de a face retrofit la night vision. Am făcut deja retrofit la nbt Evo. Cei de la custom retrofit zic ca nu ar fi posibil night vision retrofit în E90 din cauza ca ar lipsi ceva mesaje pe CAN. Totuși eu cred ca ar trebui sa meargă pentru ca toată seria E folosește cam aceleași module. Tu ce părere ai? Mersi.

My car (e60 535d) have night vision from factory, but it show only full black screen, i think is because my lens if all destroyed from stones. coud be that? Lens is not cracked but is almost fully white because of the stones.

Hello M.Ovidiu :) important question for my case: if i buy an 2nd hand bmw module for E63/E64, and i buy an new Night vision camera (my car never get a nightvision but it will be an retrofit) this 2nd hand bmw module will work ? or the vin it store of the old car will stay or and the serial number or dont know what of the night vision camera of the old car ? Thank you for the video and the information, i'm trying to do an night vision retrofit on an E60. i made the mistake of buying the camera separately from the module, and now I have found a matched set form the same car, waiting for it to ship, ... my question is, would a "BMW CIC Retrofit Emulator" do the same job as the activator? if not, then where can i get an activator from (website or link?). thank you for your time.

Thank you! Great summary of what I have been reading on forums for 3 years piece by piece. Question about lens (Germanium if I'm not mistaken?) - they are located under the bumper in e60 and of course is just showing black screen after all this years. Is there a way how to change it or polish?

is it possible to retrofit nigth vision from a f series in a e65 with nigth vision option but that does not work ?
