Skyrim Special Edition Remaster: PC vs PS4/Xbox One Graphics Comparison

preview_player
Показать описание
A three-way comparison of the new Skyrim remaster. PS4 an Xbox One turn in visuals very close to the PC's top settings, only missing out on its peak foliage draw distances and shadow quality. More considerable is the potential for mods on PC - and likewise Xbox One - where PS4 misses out on the full range of what's possible.

Man I remember staying up 2 days straight playing this lol, makes me want to get it again, won't have the free time like I did back then tho...

No no guys you don't get it, the console players were used to playing this game at 30fps (ha) 5 years ago! Bethesda just wants to retain that experience for you guys. 60 fps might be just too much to handle, I mean with 60fps you'll finish the game twice as fast!

$60 for the "I slapped a shitty HD texture pack on Skyrim with garbage blur effects" Edition.

30 FPS Lock on consoles for a 5 year old game. Disappointing to say the least.

lets not forget that the pc version is gonna have graphics mods, script extender, texture packs, gameplay enhancers, custom animations, custom 3rd person camera angles, unlimited mod space. ultimately everything comes down to preference but there are sometimes where the pc version of a game is the best version no matter what.

Sweet, been waiting for this one. You guys should revisit this in 6 months to look at the graphics mods once PC modders have had time to create them.

There's one thing you forgot to mention, the audio quality. It's massively downgraded from the original on Xbox One and PC, but for some reason it's much more crisp on the PS4 version.

Dont mean to be rude, but your drone voice is really REALLY off putting mate.
Needs more life in it haha

Did you not get any stuttering at all on PC? I drop down to like 10fps if I play it on maximized fullscreen on my way to Riverwood. Only way for me to fix it is to run it on borderless windowed, which prevents me from going to higher resolutions.

Great to see the Console visuals holding up to the PC's top settings.

Got the Xbox One version and i loving it! I dont have a monstrous buffed PC, so this version suits me well.

0:56 I found a huge difference; you have more health on the XBoxOne version!

Bethesda Pricing Logic -
PC - Free or $39.99 (New)
Console - $59.99 (New)
Man the cost of making a plastic case for a game must of went up a lot in the last couple of years because what else makes a $20 gap. But joking aside that price difference is abysmal.

PC version barely looks different except of "lighting tricks" Load times have dropped considerably too, that's nice. Hving no problem running it in 4K on a GTX 1080.

I wonder if a mod can be made to drop detail yet get 60fps. Such a great game and deserves to be more immersive at 60
