Maven has matured as a grown man.
Much respect.

That is the single smartest thing I've ever heard a wrestler say

That is one of the most honest takes I’ve heard from a former talent.

He was so skilled. He took it for granted, but he’s matured so much. Glad he’s still doing well for himself.

My old baseball coach from when I was a teenager used to say “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

It's called maturity. We all young bucks once.

This man's dropkick was so sick back in the day.

This guy was a teacher, you can tell by the way he articulates himself, also by how skeptical and honest he is, he was probably a god tier teacher.
If he wasn't, he is now. His YouTube channel is educative as fuck.

Respect. Not easy to admit something like that. Takes class and character.

Love how honest maven is. For the first “tough enough” winner he had it but WWE never over exposed him. They featured him accordingly. But like he said himself, he did not work on getting better as much as he should have. I remember when he was raw gm for a week, I thought that was going to boost him to the B level co-event status but nothing came of it. Regardless love how he takes accountability and has found new success on YouTube. I’ll keep rooting for maven!

Had Maven learned of this new mindset while being in WWE, he could be a main event caliber wrestler

This guy has nailed what people are doing wrong in 30 seconds

There's a lot of narcissists in wrestling, people who project and fail to accept responsibility for their failures in one company or another. What I like about Maven is that he accepts full responsibility for everything.

so HHH was right during the tough enough try outs when he confronted all of them in that one interview and asked all the contestants why they are doing this.

Maven gets it. He really had more going for him than Cena did as far as their beginnings. Coming in off Tough Enough was huge. Cena floundered after the Kurt Angle debut, but just hustled like crazy. Maven did have a lot of potential. Let every young person learn from this. Love his honesty.

It’s such a strong sentiment to say “if I can slap my younger self I would”, that shows a lot of personal growth in my opinion and I love Maven more for it!

The beating The Undertaker gave Maven is iconic! Maven is a good guy. Hella talent
