One thing what i like about this movie is that Bog king's mother didn't have any beef against Marianne just because she was fairy princess. She was genuinely happy that her son found someone who was of his match and also shares same personality loyalty and trust plus both got their hearts broken by their ex's and they sympathized one another

What i loved about this is that she didnt get mad at the other woman. She immediately worked on herself and became her own hero. She didnt even do it to get back at her ex, she did it for herself.

You know what's worse than Roland, Marianne's father the king, he completely ignore the fact that Roland cheated on Marianne, and on their wedding day no less. Yet he still encourages Marianne to be with him, instead of helping his daughter recover, or punishing Roland in any way.

I find it so sad that this movie wasn't more popular. Because I actually find this one of the most endearing love stories I have ever seen. Simply because it's trying to actually put an effort into the message of people not needing to be inside what they look like outside. Still being lovable and all even if their appearance isn't that of a 'main love interest'.
Sure it has it's issues, MANY here and there even, but the base story I honestly like more than all of the Disney romances and co we got to see these past years.
The comedy is great, the visuals something new (I am NOT a fan of the ever squeaky colourful animations nowadays) and it's doing a well enough job. Probably would have worked out better if it was given more runtime to not rush through the plot in some moments, but I think the overall idea is amazing and it's worth watching regardless of the issues it has. :)

I love how Bog, despite hating love, didn’t actually do anything to Dawn and just suffered while she did things for him. Especially with that little flower brooch, he was really getting pissed off but he just accepted it and the defeat.
Even villains have feelings. They sometimes just need to be loved.
Also, did ANYONE else notice that when Roland was marching in the dark forest the tune in the back was a deeper version of “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga?? And a bit slower?

I love the detail that Dawn's pupils dilated after seeing Bog when she was under the spell.
In that way you could also tell that Marianne wasn't affected by the spell after looking at Roland, because the pupils didn't dilate. It's a neat detail.
Also I love this movie, no matter how much hate it might get.

He’s a horrible father and king
So ur telling me 1)he still wants his daughter to marry the person that cheated on her.
2) he tried to reunite her with the cheater
3) he let his castle be so unprotected that these goblins can raid it easily and
4) he barely tried to do anything to save his daughters

I watched this movie for the first time a week ago and found it cringy af, I even had to stop it a couple of times.
Yet here I am, watching it for the second time cuz I couldn't stop thinking about the amazing chemistry between Marianne and Bog. I can't believe that I finished the movie and was grinning ear to ear throughout. I think this movie is a guilty pleasure for me now. It somehow ended up being in my top 10😂
