In european surf analog slapback analog delay is used instead of or in conjunction with spring reverb (the slapback delay is dominant in european surf (Shadows, Rautalanka etc), the spring reverb in american surf).

It’s all about the reverb. Drench any guitar with a wammy bar with reverb and your good to go.
