SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona, by all, for all.

After more than 5 years raising funds to make it a reality, the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona has been inaugurated. It is a monographic centre for paediatric cancer, unique in Spain, and one of the largest in Europe and worldwide.

The centre, which will be able to treat around 400 new patients each year, has been fully funded thanks to donations from 15 founding donors, hundreds of companies, and thousands of people. Thanks to the intense work of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital and the Paediatric Oncology Department, this hospital will be able to treat children with cancer from Spain and international patients and offer the latest treatments available, consultations and outpatient care, hospital admissions, diagnostic tests and everything necessary for comprehensive patient care, during and after their illness. Research will be a central pillar of the care model, with the aim of bringing the main medical advances to patients as soon as possible.
