Jermaine will forever be remembered as a lead singer of the Jackson 5 with his brother, Michael. The two were close growing up on stage together, however friendly competition developed into a fierce rivalry as the brothers developed their own solo careers.

Constant comparisons, battles for control and deep resentments persisted for many years as Jermaine became increasingly bitter of the King of Pop's towering success, and his reliance on his association with him.

However, one thing that Jermaine Jackson has always preached is that family is the more important than any award, accolade or platinum selling record, and since the superstar's death he has taken it upon himself to honour his brother's legacy for generations of Jacksons to come.

It bothered Jermaine that he really wanted the spotlight and worked to have it. Michael became part of the group after Katherine urged Joe to let him be a part of the group. Michael just wanted to be around his brothers, but everything came so natural to him. They worked hard to become stars, but Michael had that "it" factor that made him a superstar.

Micheal had something NO ONE had. Beyond talent, looks (before all the surgeries), fame. That “something” can’t be bought, taught or stolen. RIP Micheal ❤

You people that diagnose people with no proper education or experience need to stop calling people a narcissist. Michael was giving and very empathetic.

It's hard to be compared to your brother, especially if you're older. But MJ was on another level even at a young age, and he only got better with time; so I can imagine Jermaine had a hard time coping with that. But even with the bad blood and the diss tracks, there was some love in the middle. Great video from the detail. Long live the king of pop and Jermaine. ❤🎉

Jermaine was pretty, Jermaine was talented - but Jermaine didn’t have the rare magic of his younger brother

Jermaine is my least favorite Jackson sibling. There is a hint of hypocrisy in his eyes, unlike the warmth and deep soulfulness in Michael's eyes.
When The Rain Begins To Fall is his only song, i honestly love.

I have had personal experience dealing with many narcissists, and Michael was not a narcissist
Michael was empathetic, the exact opposite of a narcissist

Edit: you don't need to know someone personally to spot the signs of a narcissist, once you know the signs including red flags, you can spot them.

I think it’s VERY unfair to compare Jermaine and Michael. They were 2 totally different men onstage and off. Their gifts were not the same at all. The only similarity is they’re both brothers in show business. That’s where it begins and ends. Michael was on another level that til this day is unmatched by anyone.

Jermaine Jackson slept with his little brother Randy Jackson ex who at the time had already had two children. Jermaine ended up having a relationship with her and having two children with her as well. One of the kids that they had together is in the upcoming movie about Michael Jackson. Their brother cousins Jermaine Jackson is a piece of work.

Yes, Jermaine could sing, however Michael was a consummate entertainer who could sing, dance, and had charisma.

Michael could Appear on stage and stand there motionless for one minute and 30 seconds and people would scream like crazy, then turn his head to the left suddenly, and the people would lose their minds! B
Now that's talent and deserved RESPECT 🙏🏾 🎉❤

It's probably going to be harder because your near 500 thousand fans know most of the 70's footage and stories out there. Good Luck, we'll be watching you!

He was living in Michael"s house and on his dime for 20 years. Including when he recorded word to the bad.

Just when I am about to feel bad for Jermaine and sympathize with his feelings of having his brotherhood bond broken and betrayed I remember his bold and repeated philandering as a husband, and even the mother of his brother's kids not being off limits to him and I can't. He just seems hypocritical, he wants unconditional loyalty from others, but isn't a person that gives it.

MJ was like his mother and Jermaine was like his father. Both talented and with their own individual styles. Micheal had the gift that would birth a superstar power like no other. Jermaine loved his brother and MJ loved him. MJ was a force that could not be over shadowed by Jermaine or anyone else under no circumstances! Period!
