Klaus 2019: 'Goodbye Klaus' Sad Ending

I found the concept of santa becoming a spirit, thus giving an explanation for why we can't see him, a genius move.

I love how this movie really portrayed how legends start. There was no concept of good kids getting toys way before Jesper. When he arrives to this town, he creates the whole deliver letters to Klaus to get a toy. It spreads among the children, and the different sheannigans happened, leading to stories about how Klaus's reindeers could fly, how he can slip down chimneys etc. At the end, when Klaus finally passes, he carries it on, magically.

I literally cried watching this scene. Klaus finally found peace and reunited with his lost love with all the accomplishment paid off for creating the best holiday ever with his friend Jesper, ascending to a higher plane of existence. No matter where he is, he is always with us. As long as we hold the Christmas spirit and keep the traditions to our hearts, he'll always be there. :)

I managed to keep myself together for the entire scene, until Jesper says : "I get to see my friend." It is just so powerful in a sense that l can't describe. The line brings such emotion to the end of a great film.

I couldn't find myself being sad about this. He was reunited with his wife, while still carrying on the tradition of Christmas and also finding time to visit the man who made him what he is today. Even if it's just one time a year. That perhaps, one day it will be his time in which they shall all work beside santa.

For some reason its Jesper being a loving and affectionate father that gets me, he grows so much by the end of the film! Can't help but be glad/proud of where he ended up.

I love the kiss and nod she gives him at 1:55. Reassuring him that even though he’ll be sad once Klaus leaves, he’ll still be happy to see him once every year.

The moment he walked with no regrets and inhaled inner peace was just so beautiful. A feeling we truly want to feel when our story ends and another begins.

What's even more touching is that klaus did this for 12 years. Signifying the 12 days of Christmas. And on the 12th year, he passed away and became santa claus.
