Wynton Marsalis on Top. I've listened to this solo many times but with the score it's even more obvious. It is melodic, varied, swinging, rhythmically interesting with a beautiful sound and good taste.
Others have come now but he remains the leader of a 'Marsalis' school and you have to go back a long way in the history of jazz to find such a mentor.
