I love her mentality.
There is definitely a problem in the way America portrays its kitchen culture (either in shows or irl), when everybody is yelling at everyone like they're Gordon Ramsay, making all the line chefs feel miserable most of the time.
I lived in Europe and in Asia (Taiwan, to be precise) where there is certainly bound to be stressful during rush hour, but it's always being kept pretty civilized, nobody was screaming at each other during service in the kitchen (and in most restaurants I've been to, the kitchen is right besides the dining room, sometimes in plain sight), and the situations are not nearly as bad as what I've seen some American chefs portraying.
Problem is, since most of the kitchen shows and movies are American, of course that's the type of kitchen culture that will get the most exposure...
