The Vintage Charm of 1995 Vietnam on Kodachrome Film Slides

In 1995, a year after the US normalized relations with Vietnam, photographer Geoffrey Hiller visited the country for the first time, staying for a month to explore the length of Vietnam via the Reunification Express. Recently, he discovered 50 yellow boxes of Kodachrome slides in his basement that were shot in 1995. Hiller’s images showcase a Vietnam that’s both familiar and strange, but no less endearing.
