A fine record with a superb band: Walter Horton, Memphis Slim, Sax Crowder, Willie Dixon, Lee Cooper and an unnamed drummer.
It was recorded at Universal Studio; many blues records in this period (1950-56) including a lot of the Chess sessions. Listen well and you can hear a similar balance of instruments and room sound on records by Jr Wells, Wolf, Muddy, Little Walter, Elmore, John Brim, Big Walter... The studio was top-notch - and the recording engineers (Bill Putnam for one) were too.

Tommy Brown is still active and performing. He occasionally performs with The Breeze Kings in Atlanta. This song is still a great crowd pleaser live.

Thanks for posting this. I bought an LP in the early seventies entitled "Blues In D Natural" that had this and the flip side "Remember Me". Much played over the years, but the tracks were transcribed from scratchy 78s, so not only do I get the scratches from the 78 but also the LP. The producer also put it all through an echo chamber...so you got the scratches in stereo. Been trying to find all the tracks on CD, couldn't find these two so great to find a decent copy (without echo) on here
