Compare two folders and copy missing files

Some times you may be in situation that some of your files located in your PC and some files located laptop or external hard disk...but with the same folder name or with another folder name. You want to move files located in external harddisk to pc but want to move only the missing files in pc only.
Ex:- Folder Software present in both PC and External hard disk.
Which has subfolders 2015, 2014. 2014 Folder located on PC has 25 files where as the same folder located in External HD has 50 files. You want to move missing files of PC folder or want to equalize two folders of different locations with equal and same files. How you can do this?

Thank you! It is very useful for comparing my 2 external hard drives (one is for daily work and 1 is for weekly backups). I don't like most of the backup programs that are out there, so I do mine manually. I wonder if using an external application is any better compared to just ctrl A, ctrl C in source directory and then ctrl v in destination directory with the option selected "do not copy files which seem identical" whatever it says to this effect...
