Most people in the world do not think China is bluffing. It is true China cannot launch a war against mainland USA. However USA just confirmed Taiwan is part of China. So just as USA armed Ukraine, she could also arm Taiwan but will not send their own troops into an artillery war like we see in Ukraine. As far as the F-16s I do not know. As far as F-16 countermeasures I also do not know.

I am thinking the opposite. China is fully aware that America cannot risk it low birthrate generation Z's in any form of military combat.
You are correct on your synopsis for now but things will be very different in the near future.
The outcome of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict will definitely define the West's future status. If the West heeds to Russia's demands then China will definitely feel confident enough to invade .
Twenty years ago China was flexing its military muscle by staging military manoeuvres which intimidated Taipei. Which came to an immediate halt when the US carrier fleet sailed between the straits.
The problem that the US fleet suffers today is Russias hypersonic missiles of which has rendered the US Navy obsolete - for now.
Imagine having just Ninety Seconds to respond!
Since 2019 we have seen the total degradation of American life. Cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles have turned into war zones.
America has lost its will to live - let alone the will to fight a foreign war, there will be protests everywhere.
Besides Taipei is only a Hundred Miles of the Chinese mainland. Long range artillery can easily be manufactured cheaply to constantly shell Taipei day-in-day-out with devastating effect (which the Chinese will always remember from the past opium wars with Britain)
Because of this I reckon that Taipei will be annexed to China by the end of this decade.

The Taiwan Constitution states that Taiwan is a province of China.
Political Leaders like Pelosi should understand that.
China would prefer to have Taiwan return peacefully.

I don't think you are very well informed about the strength of the PLA. They have area denial weapons, like the DF41, that the USA can not defend against. China will take military actions for sure!!

Military and Foreign Affairs: Why do you assume that the US will send military force to defend Taiwan after China starts the war of libration? The war will probably be over in a week or two even before the US has time to react. Most likely the US will only do what they are doing to Ukraine, supplying weapons and money… but even that is hard to do because Taiwan is an islands.
F-16v is not the most advanced F-16 version, and these jets may not even have a chance to survive the first round of missile attack.
