For anyone confused if it’s just exploding in your face, the animation of you actually deflecting it away only plays in the air. On the ground instead it blows up and your character yells as it explodes with no damage.

For those who are not good with timing. On the classic buttons you can also do this by holding the circle and then the triangle, just like you do to dodge when defending the enemy's basic attack, for some it may be easier than pressing it at the same time.

For classic, you have to hold a direction while using perception, or else you will just do that pelvic thrust beam cancellation thing.

the ingame does explain how to do it. It just doesnt give you a practice scenario to do it. The game also literally tells you which type of beams can be reflected and which ones cant

I like the beam deflect better in Raging Blast. You had to time it just right for it to work, makes it feel more rewarding than just holding a button.

That actually came in pretty clutch because I was trying to do the timing perfect to get out of the beam or dodge it - in order for you to do a clash when someone is doing a certain blast you have to press the same button at the same time or do you have like a second in between because that’s the only thing I have a problem getting into - every other combo or move one of my favorites is I think you press oh when the guy is hitting you and you just completely outmatch him and make him this every single shot and then hit him. This is ridiculous. Every fight is like a mini Dragon Ball series. From story mode to just playing one V one or teams could just have like” what if First thing I did was have the saiyans ( goku vegeta broly and gohan - versus universal 11( god toppo and powered up jiren with gold frieza and merge zamasu
