Guys, don't forget the s21 got updates throughout the year and the camera performance has been improved, but the s21 fe will also be improved during the updates, and in fact there are no big differences between the two devices currently

I think the difference is negligible. Sometimes the FE is better, sometimes the regular S21, making the camera performance pretty much the same. I think it is better to go for the cheaper model. In Iran, S21 FE is significantly cheaper, and the pricing is actually good compared to many countries. Here the competitor is not pixel 6 or S21, but the Xiaomi Mi 11T pro, which offers a 120watts charger in the box, SD888, 12 GB of ram, and a cheaper price. But I choose S21 FE because of the lighter weight, IP68, better camera, and better software experience. There is no huge difference between SD888 and Exynos 2100. so I go for the FE. Moreover, it is not all about the camera, the S21 FE gets one more update and has a bigger battery. Thanks for your video, very informative and I liked the music as well. good luck.

Both have similar results but the s21 is a tiny bit better especially the stabilization. For the front cam, it seems like the s21 FE is slightly giving mid range phone shots 🤔 great video! Hoping to see more comparisons with this phone including the 13 mini and A52s 💯

I mean... Cameras on smartphones these days are literally the same. Without video comparison side by side you wouldnt even know which is which. You can record a video with s21 fe and the next day on Iphone 13 pro and people wouldnt notice if you wont tell them.

The only options that matter on flagships (all have pretty good sensors) are megapixels for photos so you can easier photoshop picture with higher details.
And OIS for vlogging.

That's my opinion.

Looks like the S21 struggles in portrait with non-perfect lighting, as its strictly relying on software (presumably processing a psycho amount of MPs) to create a cutout all while balancing exposure between background and foreground. Whereas the FE has a true tele lens as opposed to a high MP count that simply digitally zooms, so it takes less software work to make portraits work, especially in challenging lighting.

Also worth noting pixel peeping is always gonna favor the high MP camera, but most people don't quite see that when glancing at a photo. But I am impressed at how well the S21 simulates telephoto strictly through MP count and digi zooming. I would have thought there was no way it would be superior but it seems to win out in most tele situations. But portraits in non-perfect lighting will likely favor the FE for now. Can't wait for Samsung to change all the phones to natural teles as opposed to high MP counts with software reliance.

For me potrait mode matters the most and s21 seems to have a clear upper hand on that.

Some shots are better on the S21, others on the S21 FE.
The less expensive one is the one to get between those two, depending on where you live on the planet. For me in Canada the S21 is too expensive at around $1, 000 (makes no sense at all).
And the FE retails for $950 (way too expensive also).
So I just forget both of them and I'm going shopping somewhere else for a better phone.
I might as well check the S21 Ultra for sales ...

Thank you for going over camera modes and frame rates as well, it is a must to overview imo besides showing different video and photo comparison however very few tech vloggers include that. For some people also shooting with HD mode vs 5K makes much more sense to save up memory or because of laptop specs or when simply big resolution is not needed like things for sale or some duty shots. I was surprised to know that many contemporary models in chase for megapixels race stopped offering that option to choose video / photo size and resolution.

Audio seems to be subdued on S21 and lots of ambiance noise on S21 FE?

What’s your experience with aberration, do they stretch/distort edges of objects? Like I loved my S8 yet aberration was very strong. Oracle/ metaphorical cards were always distorted whether shot as single cards or as 6-12 cards together.

The great camera comparisons brother, but now I'm in a doubt that should i go for s21 fe beause fe is newer than the regular s21 and also fe is getting more updates 😅, likely both phones performance according to camera is slightly different but over all both are the best in their segments 😊
