Normally, I don't use cheesing methods, but this is the only boss thus far that makes me resort to it because of how truly maddening it is. The demon by itself isn't so much the problem, if it weren't for the dogs and the lack of space. Thanks so much! Saved my sanity!

Can confirm, it still works. I cheesed the demon and immediately got rushed by the dogs inside the area. Died

For anyone wondering I had about 80 regular firebombs when I tried this cheat. After it was done I had 30 left when I killed it. So it takes around 50 bombs or so, bring extras just in case u mess up.

Yeah this fight is the one fight that I thought was complete bs. My Sheild couldn’t deflect and the arena was tiny with two dogs as well. So thank you so much.

I’m not even gonna fight this guy normally, the dogs have given me enough trouble without the demon, so Imma just do this.

Thankyou! Some people must be aiming incorrectly because it only took me sixteen bombs on a new game. I did readjust after every four bombs because it felt like I was moving too much (perhap's it wasn't necessary). Twelve years of playing this game legit, never using exploits, and I still managed to get stunlocked by those f''ing dogs today. So I fed those canines some well deserved cheddar... and it felt good!.

Still works July 2023, I did it with dung pies, applied toxic to it and waited the dot. It applied toxic to me too but I had a Blooming Purple Moss Clump (which you can buy from the same npc that sells the dung pies) so I was able to remove toxic from me. It takes a little while but it's way cheaper (about 17 pies, worth around 3k souls) and accessible once you unlock the aqueduct shortcut near Firelink Shrine, also going through there from Firelink Shrine is way easier too, using the bonfire at upper Undead Burg is a noob trap. You could probably do it with less pies if you apply toxic, I'd check if the boss is dotting every 4 or 5 throws and try again if the dot is not applied, you'll be able to see it's health bar through the door. It won't kill the dogs though so be careful once you kill it.

Thank you for being a legend! I did this fight legitimately on my first playthrough but there wasn't a chance in hell I was going to do the same on NG+ given I'm only doing NG+ (and later NG++) for the Knight's Honour trophy!

Helped a lot. Only tricky part was getting the aim right. As for the normal firebombs, you need nearly a full stack (about 50-60 are usually enough). Thanks for the clear explanation.

Thank you!! I was in NG+ and this boss was driving me insane, i beat him my first try on my first play through somehow but i died like 20 times and lost 15 humanity from this stupid boss in ng+, thank you for the good cheese!
